Rules and Prizes
Rules:
All entries to Songbird Contest must be original creations. No cover songs. No samples. At this time we do not accept instrumentals (but may in the future)
You don’t need a professional recording. As long as the lyrics and music are clearly audible for listeners your song qualifies.
By submitting your song to Songbird Contest you grant us the right to post your music for judging on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Prizes:
Songbird Contest awards a monthly cash prize of $100 to first place and a feature write up on the Songbird Contest website, Facebook page and Twitter.
The “Songwriter of the Year” will be held in January 2012 with $1,000 cash and prizes from Tunecore, iTunes as well as a feature write up in a national magazine.
All cash prizes are paid by Paypal.
